Kenneth JohnsonAbout Kenneth Johnson

Kenneth Johnson holds a B.A. in Comparative Religions from California State University Fullerton. He obtained his Master of Arts in Eastern Studies (with an emphasis in Classical Sanskrit) from St. John’s College, Santa Fe. He is the author of numerous books and magazine articles, including the well-known Mythic Astrology series (with Arielle Guttman) and Mansions of the Moon: The Lost Zodiac of the Goddess

Jaguar Wisdom: An Introduction to the Mayan Calendar, is the only currently available popular book written with the assistance of contemporary Mayan Calendar diviners. John Major Jenkins says, "this book will guide the sincere into a deeper understanding of the Maya cosmos," while Carl Calleman writes, "it fills a significant gap for anyone interested in Mayan astrology and divination."

Ken's next book, The Prophetic History of the Maya, will address the so-called "end date" of 2012. In contrast to other writers, Ken has turned away from inventing his own interpretations of the data and focused his attention on the actual Mayan prophetic texts known as the "Books of the Jaguar Prophet," compiled by the Maya during the Spanish Conquest in an attempt to preserve what still remained of their ancient culture.
