Astrology Readings
Dear friends,
I am now offering Mayan Calendar astrological readings through this website.
My approach, however, is very different from other "Mayan astrology readings" that you will find elsewhere on the Internet.
The astrology of the Mayan Calendar was never intended to be conveyed as an impersonal print-out of esoteric keywords. In actual practice, Daykeepers use the information contained in one's birth chart to help people find new approaches and solutions to their life issues and challenges. This, of course, can only be accomplished through actual dialogue between astrologer and client.
For this reason, all the readings I do are conducted either through
telephone conversation or in person. There are no print-outs, although you
can receive a full-sized horoscope diagram of the type shown on this page.
There is a great deal of diversity among astrologers in the Mayan tradition. I have worked personally with Don Rigoberto Itzep Chanchavac of Momostenango and with Don Robert Poz of Zunil, as well as accessing material from students of Don Adrelino Sac, a popular astrology teacher in Quetzaltenango. Many of you may be familiar with the "five-sign horoscope" whch has been popularized to some degree outside of Guatemala (including in my own book, Jaguar Wisdom). Some may be familiar with the more complex nine-sign horoscope employed by other astrologers in Guatemala. At the same time, there are yet other Daykeepers who use neither of these forms but focus purely and simply on the basics. I have studied all the above methods, and my own preference is: Whatever works best in order to answer your questions.
Readings are $65 U.S. for a one-hour reading.
